TUESDAY BRIEFING
7-8-03

ALL glory to God in Jesus Name!
May you trust Jesus with ALL your heart an no reservation.
May Jesus reveal His Father to you in new ways.
May you be quick to obey the prompting of the Holy Spirit.
Amen?

COMPLETED
1. Received the laptop back. Bill is going to Russia on a mission trip. Pray for the effectiveness of his team. The data is still in limbo. Pray for God to guide me to the experts that will recover the data soon. There are hundreds of hours of work on the hard drive that will help me in creating the beta web site and in making the initial fund raising presentations.
2. Last Tuesday I had lunch with a prospective donor. He prayed and gracious gave a generous check on Friday. The next day I bought a refurbished Compaq desktop computer and new monitor. I will spare you the technical details because I will be exchanging it soon. The mouse does not work right and there are other bugs.
3. I have ordered the digital voice recorder and cable to patch it into the computer. It is a critical part of what will be needed to minister audio messages over the web. For example I talked with a sister who recently returned from her forth mission trip to Africa. I long to share with you her excitement about what God is doing on the mission field.
4. Yesterday there was a huge influx of available funds. Details are being worked out. Instead of needing to pinch pennies, I have enough to get the beta version going soon with out waiting for more money.

CURRENT
A. I am in the market for audio editing software. There are many options. I have no experience with this software. I have received various recommendations. I need to choose soon. May God guide me.
B. I am in the market for tires. May God guide me.
C. While using the new computer for just a few hours my right hand and forearm started to hurt. This may be from irritating old injuries to my right elbow and wrist. I am in the market for an ergonomic mouse and key board. There are dozens of choices. Besides those you see in a computer store, there are many others on the web. Again may God guide me.
D. I am in the market for a web host for the beta version. I have narrowed it down to a few. May God guide me.

UPCOMING
i. The FOCUS is to line up the computer related items, the recorder and the web host. Then it will be a matter of pouring MANY hours into building the beta version. I am getting the desk, lighting, files and other things into order so that I can concentrate when there is finally a green light.

RESOURCES
Here is another source for back up. This seems to be very affordable. And it is automated. It puts selected files on their server according to how often you tell it. And the 30 days is free. http://www.backup.com/learnmore_intro.html

Another affordable but not automatic option is what is called a jump drive. The device plugs into the USB port it is about two and a half inches by one inch. The one I got holds 128 meg. That is the same as 88 floppy disks. And there are similar devices that hold much more.
