1. The DSL modem suddenly went from dependable to undependable. The company shipped a replacement. The computer was off line during the blaster worm attack. Yet now the replacement modem is not working consistently. It will suddenly drop me off line like th other one did. I will call their help desk again this evening.
2. Received large donation from anonymous donor. This will give Art and I some breathing room for the next many weeks as we prepare and present to the next round of donors.
3. yesterday purchased a Compaq Presario Desktop S4200NX as an upgrade and exchange for the refurbished one that was not working. Here are the specs for those who are interested Intel Celeron processor 2.6 GHz, 512MB/120GB/CD-RW/DVD with a three year warrantee. Also thankfully I bought a ergonomic keyboard and mouse. This was just in time because as I was setting this up last night I had more pain in my right arm and shoulder than I ever have.
CURRENT
A. Requesting grace and guidance in dealing with the Help Desk for the DSL modem
B. Hopefully SOON the computer related elements will be lined up so that I can work at what God has called me to do for a big chunk of the week. Meanwhile there are papers and folders that I can put into order so that th work will flow more smoothly later.
UPCOMING
i. plan to go to K-Clinic next week to get the treatments that I did when I was first injured on the job years ago. I smacked the funny bone in my right elbow while stocking. It was not funny. I was unable to work for a week and got treatments. That was covered be insurance this visit is not. Maybe I will go to the Parkland clinic. Pray for God to guide.
ii. May God guide me to the right place to buy a set of tires.
iii. Need to FOCUS on learning how to sell items over eBay. Art has commissioned me to sell some unique times that may bring a large sum for both of us..
iv. Located a store on Garland Road that is full of used computers and used computer parts. They are continually working on older units like my laptop that crashed.
v. The new computer has MS Works and that means that the word processing
