ALL glory to God in Jesus Name!

COMPLETED
1. The goal of working 90 minutes per week on the financial software programs was met and exceeded by 30 minutes.
2. God has provided two people that are willing to receive the simple summaries of my weekly finances and monthly budgets. (I would like at least 3 more. And I will talk with some others.)
3. I have come to put a number to the difference between my incomes and needs. There has been about a 400 dollar short fall between my pay check and bills since late 1998. Each month God has provided differently. I can only thank and praise Him.
CURRENT
A. I was convicted by the Holy Spirit that I did not receive because I did not ask in prayer. God showed me that all the major improvements in my life came from persistent prayers and asking for others to pray. (Like the car and the computer) SO my new prayer focus is for SOUND FINANCIAL FOOTING in order to have a solid base for effective ministry. Kindly join me in this request.
B. Today, Tuesday the 23rd Art has an important appointment at 1:00. This is with a prospective buyer of the custom book of quotations. It is an attractive coffee table book that will benefit a selected charity and serve a great public relations value for the sponsoring corporation.
C. Art and I have gotten the promotional and presentation materials ready. Now we are in the mode of seeking qualified prospects, peak their interest, setting appointments and making a short presentation. They will like it or not. There are plenty of good prospects in the Dallas area. By seeing many qualified prospective buyers face to face it becomes a numbers game. A per cent will buy.
UPCOMING
i. Some time soon the first custom book will sell. Then besides helping Art stay focused on the sales efforts, I will be working with the back office duties. I will be coordinating the new staff, gathering of the quotations and working with the printer. As additional books sell then God will provide the grace and management skills.
ii. Working with Art is the door that God has opened during this season. My motivation to follow this course is not to pay my bills. but also to fund innovative ministries.

Sales is like fishing.
You can make plans and preparation but you cannot control outcomes.
You can catch a fish or land a sale right away or after a while.
You can catch many or few.
We have done all we can to get ready.
We are diligent each day.
I am reminded that unless the Lord builds the house the labor is in vain.
Here I am learning to trust God in new ways.
I am powerless.
Jesus is powerful.
He is at work in us to will and do of His good pleasure.
