VICTORIES
12-13-03
THANK God for answering MANY prayers.
He is faithful to keep His promises.
FAITH mixed with the Word brings results by His amazing grace!!!
On Thursday I had the FIRST face-to-face meeting with a senior pastor.
It went well.
Of course it could have been briefer.
We had a wonderful conversation.
I showed him my flip chart.
I left him with some printed items and a disk with several documents.
Last night I shot the FIRST videos in my apartment.
There were four made.
All were based on the Power Point slide shows on the web.
They were as follows
My background and salvation testimony - 20 minutes
The Dynamics of Missions - 30 minutes
A Brief Overview - 50 minutes
Casting the Vision for OSU – 80 minutes
I put the first three on a VHS.
I will be sharing them with the church leadership tomorrow.
Of course there is room for improvement on the videos, but the ice is broken.
But the big victory is that I had planned to shot the first video LONG ago.
On Saturday morning I enjoyed a lovely breakfast with friends.
I had known them a long while but I told them my testimony for the first time
That was good practice for future meetings.
I attended a Christmas dinner for the international students tonight.
Providentially I met a key man from the sponsoring church.
He is a business consultant.
I gave him my card.
He will examine the OSU web site.
Perhaps God will use him to advise me.
FUTURE VICTORIES
The big meeting on Wednesday did not happen.
The missions pastor was not there when I arrived.
Maybe we got the times crossed.
I have left several voice mail messages.
He may be out of the country.
May God guide our rescheduling.
I need to keep moving forward by setting appointments.
I learn best by doing.
May God guide in who to meet with and when.
Tonight had technical troubles putting an audio message on the web site.
May God guide me in working with their technical support next week.
The FAQ part of the web site is the next area of development.
God has provided some basic questions that can be answered there.

TUESDAY BRIEFING
12-9-03
ALL glory to God in Jesus Name!
May the Holy Spirit point you to Jesus hourly.
May Jesus Christ direct your path.
May God the Father pour His love on you.

COMPLETED
1. God made a way for the December rent to be paid right on time. This is good for my faith and I thank God for His faithfulness.
2. This morning the Holy Spirit woke me at 5 and gave me the initial outline of the BRIEF presentation for the face-to-face meeting tomorrow and after that. I canceled an important meeting earlier tonight to develop it. The basic Power Point Slides have been made. This is good enough for a first time.
3. Began a few more blogs this week. And added to others. In the coming months these will serve as easy ways to keep a wide variety of audiences informed. I will later link all the blogs to the links page.
CURRENT
A. Much work to do on the FAQ printed piece to go with the face-to-face presentation.
B. Seeking dentist.
UPCOMING
i. There was a glitch on SAT and the video will be shot on WED.
ii. At LONG last the FIRST face-to-face presentation will be on WED at 2. It will be with the missions pastor of Lake Pointe. May God guide and bless.
iii. This meeting brakes the inertia. I need to go on MANY such meetings in the coming months. But I must face my fears to gain the momentum.
iv. I have set a second meeting on THUR with the senior pastor of the medium size church I visited last week, Mesquite Bible Church. May God guide his response to what I present.
v. I still need to practice presentations with friends and minor donors.
vi. When I am prayerful and still God assure me that there are enough wealthy donors that will give to this ministry. The seminary will be closed during Christmas week. I will stay in town. I will take lots of time to rest. But I cannot stop for seven days. I will use a big part of that time reviewing my notes from the seminars about how to approach major donors. I will craft a special presentation for them.
IMAGES
Previously I used the image of close to a touchdown.
When I have the first meeting THAT will be longer for touchdown.
The powers of darkness will have rolled back due to answered prayers.
The demons that have been in my way for years will loose a major battle.
Back in the 1970s I took my ideas for ministry to my father.
He shot each one of them down point pointing to the possible weakness.
That began my pattern of excessive research, planning and preparing.
I try to come up with a plan that has no weaknesses.
That has gone on for decades.
That is why the OSU web site is so complex.
It has less than one forth of what is in my files.
I quit taking plans to me father, after all he is an unbeliever and a corporate man.
The few times I took the plans to church people they were skeptical.
Church leaders understand the value of what I offer.
But they do not have the big bucks.
The Holy Spirit reminded me that my grandfather retired comfortably.
He had made his fortune owning more than 20 businesses.
He loved to give to his grandsons and others.
He understood the importance of passing on a legacy to the next generation.
There are PLENTY of wealthy people like him in DFW.
They will gladly help me to help others.
May I seek and soon find the people like my generous grandfather.
FAITH LESSONS
By FAITH you now have access to the Throne of Grace.
By FAITH you can come to the Mercy Seat anytime.
Your ability to approach the holy and pure God is the finished work of Christ.
You can come based on His righteousness that was imputed to you.
By FAITH you can request grace and mercy for yourself and others.
Grace is getting what is not deserved.
Mercy is not getting what is deserved.
God will NEVER run out of grace or mercy.
It just requires your trusting FAITH to appropriate these provisions.
God gets ALL the glory when He does what you cannot do.
Ask and keep on asking.
When you pray BELIEVE.
FAITH dwells in the NOW moment of the prayer.
Place TOTAL confidence in God to keep His Word.
God is honored when you look to Him and nothing else.
Thank and praise God while you WAIT for the answers.
