TUESDAY BRIEFING
1-6-04

ALL glory to God in Jesus Name!
May you sleep soundly and wake refreshed.
May you worry less.
May God guide you into unexpected divine appointments.
Amen?

COMPLETED
1. Great progress in converting dozens of pages of notes and Power Point slides onto a few central Mind Jet maps. Shared the first draft with a few people on Tuesday. They liked it and quickly understood what had taken a long time to explain.
2. Progress in clearing away more clutter in the home office. Came upon a note that I had committed to invest three hours a week to put an dkeep such things in good order. Like many other good plans that got neglected after a short while. And now I am paying the price.

CURRENT
A. Will call a Christian dentist that was recommended by a friend to see what he can do for me.
B. Going to the Belmont Garage to find out the cause of the clicking and cost to repair.
C. Making steady progress with the Theophostic prayer sessions. Now in a season of journaling and praying to forgive those that the Holy Spirit brings to my memory. The challenge is to forgive from the heart.
D. Last July I wrote down five key goals and five action steps with each one. That was very helpful. But It got lost in the piles. This year I am revising the goals and intend to review them often. The goals for 2004 relate more to processes and habits rather than outcomes.
E. As the clutter finds a home and the notes are entered into the computer the goals for 2004 are starting to distill. They will be related to prayer, time management, money management, fund raising, writing, fitness and maybe other.
F. I have been putting my To Do tasks in several different software programs over the years. I am finding that they are not all able to sync with each other. I need clear guidance about which one to use mostly.
G. I keep putting off the needed homework to get ready for the fund raising Boot Camp at the end of the month. May God work in me to change this.

UPCOMING
i. For sure one chief goal for 2004 is to improve and increase prayer life. I have put the many areas I need to be praying about on 4 by 6 index cards. And I am getting into the habit of using this system. It allows me ot both be organized and fluid whie praying. I note on a dry erase board when I pray over such things as 1) these cards, 2) my day 3) the office and what is on the disk 4) my wallet, bank accounts and credit cards.

IMAGES
Sometime this level of organizing the piles and files feels like clearing underbrush in orchard. As this junk is removed then it will become easier to get around and tend the trees. Thus more fruit will ripen.

FAITH LESSONS
Do you believe that God can hear your prayers that you say silently?
Do you pray to God in your mind?
Does that not indicate that God can and does know your thoughts?
Yet how can we deceive our self to imagine that we are hiding from God?
How can we keep God from knowing the good, the bad and the ugly?
If God already knows the dirty trash in our minds, then why not confess?
Hiding from God is futile, it did not work in the Garden and it does not work today.
Come clean with Christ today and every day.
Your burdens will be lighter and your channel to the Throne Room will be clearer.
