TUESDAY BRIEFING

COMPLETED
1. Last week I learned that a couple was led to fast for me during a very difficult period. This was inspiring and humbling. The burdens were less and the victories were many. The February rent was paid on time in an amazing way.
2. Today a friend taught how to merge names for letters and emails. This will be a big help after I have gathered all my names into a central database.
3. Today I met with a former business owner that is now in seminary. As I rambled around he helped me to better understand how to keep the presentation focused for business owners. May God use his input to help me make the presentation more laser-like.
4. Made much progress on preparing the Yahoo Group for the Launch Team. A close friend said that as he read the invitation it seemed that by accepting he was making a financial commitment. That is not true. I will need many intercessors and advisors to get me going and keep me moving forward unto the donor base. I will send another invitation soon.
CURRENT
A. WED night I have a dinner meeting with an advisor. I am getting ready to share the Big Picture with him plus the milestones and how he can help. I still have a long way to go. Please pray. I can reuse this work when meeting with other advisors and potential donors.
B. Lining up the milestones is the next important step to help keep me on track plus enroll the intercessors. I have written parts of this in several documents. I need to pull these together a central plan. There are some sequences of steps that are due to technical, legal, logical, priorities, etc. That game plan will have both the highlight and detailed view. When I have shown some parts to others they more easily understand how we can get from here to there.
C. I have begun to meet with my new accountability partner WED. May God use our times together in wonderful ways.
UPCOMING
i. Soon I will put out a weekly report related to the fund raising activities. It will have objective data like the number of phone calls made, number of appointments held, number of additional monthly pledges, plus there will be BRIEF section on the internal and external challenges.
ii. Some intercessors want to know the times and purposes of each appointment. They want to know so they can pray during that time. Then they want a report on the results. That is FAR too much for others. They want just a postcard like report each week with five bullet points. I am designing ways for the Yahoo Group to do both reports well.
iii. God has trained me over the years to excel at customer service. So I know that those who commit to send in a monthly donation will be served well. My weakness has been sales. Otherwise I would have raised the support many years ago. Another strength is teaching. There are many today and in the coming years that will look to me to teach them about fund raising. May God graciously use my time and energy to bring Him the most glory WHILE also paying my bills on time.
iv. I have not felt tempted to return to Internet porn. But the memories of that misadventure have been coming back strong lately. Note that my weakness is not the nasty pictures but the dirty stories. During my teens as an unbelieving pagan, I used such erotic tales to make movies in my own mind. Those kinds of self-made movies have been my weakness and have been more frequent temptations lately. God will lead you in how to pray.
v. Pray for the desktop PC. There have been a few strange glitches. I have all the latest virus scanning stuff. Like the clicking in the car, this too can melt away.
vi. On a related note I need to improve my back-up system. I do MUCH work each week in various folders. I had an online back up service. But I have reached their limit. I need to upgrade SOON. When I went to their site I got confused.
vii. The mid-month bills are coming due soon. May God guide and provide. I am still in the manna valley. Hopefully I will cross the Jordan Rive soon and the special provisions will shift.
viii. My father invited to get me to Colorado March 4-7 to celebrate my nephew’s birthday. I have not seen my father, brother or nephew in YEARS. We are shopping online for a bargain airfare
